The Future of Travel Management with Agile

It’s time for #futurefridays and today we take a peak into the future of Travel Management, made possible, and constantly improved thanks to Agile.

Let me ask you this. How many apps do you use when you travel?

Like from the time you research for a location to go to, until you book everything, do the actual traveling, get back home, and reminisce and ponder on the recent events?

You would have probably used a variety of different apps, and you had to piece everything together and do a lot of planning and travel management.

Now imagine, what if you instead had a travel assistant app that helps you out end-to-end.

From pre-trip research, forecasting, risk assessment, to booking, and then trip management during the journey, to post-travel reporting and Analytics.

And as a user of the app, it allows you to give constant feedback on how the app can be better for you as a user?

That’s exactly what CTM Technology has done.

And they release enhancements on 2-week cycles, which means they have 2-week Agile sprints.

Google Translate: Travel without Fear of Language Barriers (and How to Build your own Translator!)

It’s #FutureFridays and today I’ll be talking about how the future of travel and bridging language barriers is here and now!

Have you ever had fear of traveling to certain places simply because they speak a different language unfamiliar to you?

Did you know that today, there is already a form of technology that will allow you to bridge that gap?

And if you didn’t know, all it takes is for you to install an app on your phone and you’re done.

The future of bridging language barriers is here, and it’s called Google Translate.

See the real world usage on the video below, and watch as this English-speaking guy travels to Japan using Google Translate to communicate.

He even ran across a Chinese guy, and the app allowed him to switch languages instantly to be able to communicate.

Watch the video below.

Future of Learning: The Flipped Classroom

For today’s #FutureFridays topic, we talk about the Future of Learning – The Flipped Classroom.

Traditional Classroom

Have you ever been bored sitting in a classroom?

Then all the instructor does is blabber on about the theoretical stuff, and then you thought that it’s probably been the same material being used over and over again across different classes?

Have you ever found it challenging that when you get off class and do homework, you have to do it all alone by yourself, with no one to guide you?

Is there a better way?

Now, have you ever wondered if there’s a better way to learn where it won’t have to be so boring?

And that when you go and do homework, did you ever wish you could just solve for the homework with the rest of the class, guided by the instructor, instead of having to do it all by yourself?

If you answered yes to the above questions, then a Flipped Classroom setting is the right kind of learning style for you.
