Should You be Judged for what You Post on Social Media?

Without thinking, give your first answer.

After which, take the following steps below, then answer it again, and tell me if your answer changed or not.

  1. Watch the short video below. It’s portrayed as a comedy, but in a sense it gives you an idea of how job interviews are changing.
  2. Ask the same question from the other side of the table – Will you judge someone for what they post on social media?
  3. Reply with a comment and tell me if your answer changed or not.

What did you learn?

I know some people would argue about freedom of speech and that social media is a means for you to express yourself.

As for me, I would rather be someone who gives positive contributions for the betterment of society.

And I believe that social media is an extension of one’s personality. So people who contribute negativity outside of work are also those who are potential root causes to toxic work environments.

Hopefully this motivates you to think about what you post on social media.

What did you learn that apples to you? What will you implement moving forward?
